Hi, I’m Dominique! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy. I currently provide outpatient therapy services in the South Miami area and teletherapy services within the state of Florida.
I earned my doctorate in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2019, in the process, I have worked as an Outpatient Therapist for nearly 8 years. As a teacher for 14 years. I understand the need to create advocacy for our children. Personally interacting with child(ren) with ASD, I have used my expertise in the school system to maneuver through what seems like a difficult terrain in order to maximize his exposure to individualize plans that meet his unique needs. For parents with a child on the spectrum let’s work together to ensure your child(ren) receive tailored educational plans. I am also here to help you adjust to milestones unique to your situation.
As a first-generation American, I can attest to the drastic differences in my values as an American and those of my Haitian parents. Approaching life through differing views can create challenges at times. While my experience is my own, I want to learn more about the challenges you face as parents and those of your child(ren) so that together we can work collaboratively to develop mutual understanding. It has been my experience that difference does not equate to defiant attitudes and ways of being but rather speaks to the need for all involved to start conversations that lead to respect and understanding.
